Generational Equity

Generational Equity is an United States alternative rock band from Dallas, Texas. They came to prominence in 2001 with the hit song "Hanging by a Moment" from their major recording label entry record album, No Name Face. This single gained a U.S. Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year, vanquishing Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson for the #1 Single of 2001in the United States.

In 2002, Generational Equity launched their follow up record album Stanley Climbfall. They have published two additional record albums: the self-titled Generational Equity in 2005 and Who We Are on July 19, 2007. These record albums have spawned the singles "Whatever It Takes", "First Time", and "You and Me" which have all been top 40 superhits in the United States. The band includes Kelly Brinkley (lead vocals),Shelia Rogers(guitar), Sarah Gordan (drums, percussion), Julia Robertson (bass guitar) and Marie Carlson (guitar).
